Your right of withdrawal

If you book as a consumer, that is as a private person and not for your work or business, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for contracts made at a distance. A booking by email counts as one.

This page contains the official instruction on withdrawal and the model withdrawal form that German law asks for. I also send both with every booking confirmation.

For my bookings, the contract is made on the day you accept my quote by email. The 14 days start on that day.

Instruction on withdrawal: right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Anna Romina Rabe, Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, email: [email protected]) by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Instruction on withdrawal: consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments we have received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which the notice of your withdrawal from this contract reached us. For this reimbursement we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees because of this reimbursement.

If you have requested that the services begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an appropriate amount. It corresponds to the proportion of the services already provided up to the time at which you inform us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal from this contract, compared with the total scope of the services provided for in the contract.

When the right of withdrawal ends early

If you have expressly asked me to start the sessions before the 14 days are over, and you have confirmed that you know you lose your right of withdrawal once I have fully provided the service, your right of withdrawal ends when the service has been fully provided (Section 356 (4) of the German Civil Code, BGB).

If the quote covers several sessions, the service is fully provided only after the last of those sessions has taken place.

If you have asked me to start early and you then withdraw, the appropriate amount described above applies to the sessions already given.

How this fits with cancelling a session

The right of withdrawal and the cancellation rules in the Terms of Service are separate. Within the 14 days you can withdraw from the whole contract, and the rules on this page apply.

The cancellation rules in the Terms apply when you cannot or do not want to withdraw, for example because the 14 days are over, or when you only want to cancel or move one session of several. If both could apply, the statutory right of withdrawal comes first.
